Challenge

There is no solution. Style (design) is a relative term. Nothing that stagnates is ever a good idea. Design’s a living thing. It has to find new solutions at every given time, the brand’s life depends on that. That’s your company. My first decade working as a freelance communicative arts specialist or “media designer” has taught me that beyond artistic cleverness, design always needs a narrative. The highest form of teaching (your clients) is a great “campfire” story. What do you think brands are? They are characters. At least all the good ones seem to be. They uphold an ideal. What’s your company’s ideal?

Solution

The solution to design, even though its prone to change, still reveals a certain balance. It is a powerful communicant (storyteller) on the one hand and the other is the art. With your story, one knows best how to dress its brand and how their brand will speak and how they’ll do. But design is always the support not the foundation.

Credits

The effectiveness of good design requires the credit of your clients. Either you suckered them in or they truly believed in your aesthetic personality enough (thru design) they “took a hunch” to believe you’ll be a good brand in their life.
“I design with a mindset of setting brands up on client blind dates. Make that a relationship and assure (as creepy as this sounds) that you’ve occupied a piece of their daily thoughts.”
